SMART Systems

SMART Systems is a suite of modules that includes Finance and Human Resources/Payroll and the web based eResources Center that employees can access for a variety of functions, including the employee payroll information service called Employee Self Service (ESS). Employees have the ability in ESS to view their current pay stub and pay history, compensated leave activity, licensure information, as well as download their year-end W-2’s on the web. ESS provides the district with an opportunity to move towards a completely paperless payroll function.

The Finance and HR/Payroll modules are comprehensive fund accounting software applications designed for school districts and governmental agencies. It is currently used by nearly 300 school districts, service coops, special education coops and charter schools throughout the State of Minnesota. The applications are continually improved and enhanced through a shared development group with four other regional information centers. Region I provides complete installation, training
and ongoing product support services for both applications.
