2012 Business Conference Keynote Presenter
2012 Region 1 Business Conference Keynote Presenter
is pleased to present our 2012 Business Conference Keynote Speaker
Chad Crittenden
, with his inspirational keynote presentation
“Discover The Will To Survive”
.
Chad Crittenden grew up in Half Moon Bay, California and went on to attend U.C. Davis, majoring in International Relations and Spanish. He received his teaching credential in Bilingual Education and enjoyed a 9 year career as a bilingual teacher.
In 2002, Chad was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, a rare and deadly form of cancer, resulting in a major surgery which saved his life. After his surgery, Chad felt that he had almost reached his post-surgery potential, and sent in a tape to CBS to appear on Survivor, where he realized his goal, and made it onto Survivor: Vanuatu, Islands of Fire. Chad excelled on the show, but was eventually voted off 11th, making it to the second spot on the Jury.
Since his Survivor experience, Chad has been an at home Dad with his two Children Trevor and Clara, and a consultant when he's not traveling the country as an inspirational speaker. During the post-Survivor years, he has been sponsored for triathlon, in which he's raced in dozens, including XTERRA. In recent years, Chad has competed in Snowboarding - where he won bronze and Gold medals at the USASA championships at Copper Mt., CO, has competed in Mountain Biking, and competed in the NYC Marathon with a time of 4:35.
Chad has been cancer-free for nine years now, and feels very fortunate for all that he has!
