As indicated in our previous correspondence, Region 1 will be transitioning away from supporting a hot lunch system due to the changing market conditions in the cafeteria management software landscape. Many of the cafeteria management solutions are moving to a cloud based solution that is hosted and supported directly by the vendor. The company that owns the Meals Plus application, LINQ, will be discontinuing the Meals Plus application in the future, and will be replacing it with their new cloud based hot lunch system.
In light of this development, we have been proactively looking at options for our current Meals Plus customers, with the idea of transitioning them to a new cafeteria management application in advance of the “end of life” of the current Meals Plus application. The goal is to migrate our Meals Plus customers to a new cafeteria management solution throughout the summer and fall with a target date for completion of December 31, 2022. This date will come upon us quickly, so we strongly urge you to attend one of our scheduled software demonstrations discussed below.
We have arranged to have two hot lunch system vendors, I3 Education and LINQ, provide informational webinars to our Meals Plus customers. Both of these vendors were selected based upon the integration features/options currently in place with an on-line payment system and the Synergy SIS.
With all this in mind, we have set up webinars with I3 Education and LINQ to demonstrate their hot lunch application, and answer questions. During the webinars, they will also provide contact information for further software demos and product pricing.
