This data impacts funding via tuition billing.  A child must have three criteria to be included in the December 1 Federal Child Count. Compensatory Revenue

This data is based on the prior year’s October 1 enrollments and counts of students eligible for the free or reduced-price meal program. From the final Fall FY 2018 MARSS data, MDE will generate the October 1, 2017, counts that will be used to calculate FY 2019 compensatory revenue. Reporting SAC 98

If your student ended the previous school year with end code 40 (student enrolled on last day of school), but during the summer months the student left and will not be reported by another MN public school (as they would if you used end codes 02, 04 or 20), you will need to report the student to MDE with the appropriate end code so your districts graduation rates can be adjusted accordingly.

Economic Indicator / Direct Certification

Whether or not the school participates in the Community Eligibility Provision Program, Direct Certification can also be used to certify students as eligible for the free meal program.
