(excerpt from MARSS Memo 17.01)
For end of year MARSS reporting Special Education Service Hours are required for specific students starting with the MARSS April submission. Knowing the SESH are not correct at that time we have told districts to report one hour for SESH to pass the edit. We have a warning that will let you know that the student has been reported with less than two hours.
In order to help special education tuition billing be more accurate for students that require SESH, starting with the MARSS August submission districts need to start reporting the actual number of SESH on the enrollment records instead of the one hour.
By reporting the more accurate SESH, this will help special education tuition billing be more accurate for the students that require SESH.
