SMART Finance News You Can Use

1. The Region1 access to upload your data to the MDE expires every year.  Be sure to have your IOWA go in and reauthorize Region this access or we won’t be able to submit your files.
   
   The IOwA (Identified Official with Authority) at your district must authorize Region1 for the UFARS File Upload Application within the EDIAM Authorization System.

2. Please follow these brief instructions to assign Region 1 authorization for the UFARS File Upload Application. This will need to be performed by the IOwA logged into the EDIAM System.

 
>Select EDIAM Authorization system



>Review Security Policy, click Yes



>Select Authorization



>Select User Search by User ID




>Authorize based on the user ID: Region2021
>Enter Region2021 and click Search
>Select “Add User Role”



>Select the Application “UFARS File Upload” and click the Select Application Button




>Click the Authorize Role Button



>You will receive a confirmation when complete
