MDE has released a new status end code (leave code) that you need to use starting 2018-2019. This is used when Pre-School screening students (grade PS) that may not qualify for a referral, but are tagged for a later date (planned pre-school re-screening), and their state aid category is a 41-45. This new code is coming from the Department of Early Childhood Screening. The department's email and phone number are mds.els@state.mn.us and (651) 582-1136.
Here is how you add the new status end code:
1. Open the Table Definition view
2. Open the K12.Enrollment folder, and click on the Leave code entry to open the table
3. Click the Add button to add a new row to this table, and complete it as shown below:
List order – 66
Code – 66
Description – Rescreen (SAC 41-45 only)
Other SIS – 66
Status Year Start – 2018 (this one is important so that the code only appears starting in year 2018 and beyond)
